How to Enter

There will be two rounds of qualifying, Round 1's and Round 2's with TWO Round 3 Finals. There is also a series of Elite Tournaments with an Elite Final for Round 3 Qualifiers only.

Round 1

Round 1 qualifying events start on Monday 1st September 2003, the last Round 1 qualifying event will be Friday 23rd April, 2004
There will be 4 Round 1 events per day Monday thru Friday, at 12.30am, 7.30am, 12.30pm, and 7.30pm CDT. Round 1 events cost $1+0 to enter for anyone registered at BugsysClub, and will have 10,000 starting chips using Tournament Structure #6. All players will have their buy-in to Round 1 added to the Round 1 prize pool with the prize money distributed in the normal way according to the multi table tournament Payout Schedule.

Players who receive a free entry to Round 2 have to go to the cashier during the 1 hour sign up period of each Round 2 tournament and exchange their free entry for the buy-in to Round 2

The top 5 players from each Round 1 event will gain free entry to play in any ONE of the coming weekends Round 2 events, making a total of 75 qualifiers a week for Round 2. Once qualified for Round 2 a player CAN enter further Round 1 events in the same week to gain more than one free entry to the coming weekends Round 2's. Players MUST use their Round 2 free entries in the coming weekends Round 2 events and they cannot be carried over to any future Round 2 events. Any Round 2 free entries not used on the correct weekend will be cancelled prior to the start of the next weeks Round 1's.

All Round 1 events will NOT count points towards Al's Smash 'n' Grab League.

Round 2

Round 2 events are available for any player who is registered at BugsysClub if they want to buy-in, $9+$1, or if they have acheived Round 2 free entry via the above mentioned Round 1 events.

Round 2 will consist of six weekend events, Saturday and Sunday at 1.30am, 1.30pm and 7.30pm CDT and will start on Saturday 6th September 2003 until Sunday 25th April 2004.

The top 3 players from each Round 2 event will qualify for BOTH Round 3 Finals, a chance to enter the Elite Tournaments, as well as winning their share of the Round 2 prizepool. Any player who has qualifed for Round 3 may still enter Round 1's and Round 2's with the same username, however any one creating multiple accounts will be instantly disqualified from the WSOP Warm Up promotion.

All Round 2 events will count towards Al's Smash 'n' Grab League and will cost $9+$1 to enter unless qualified. Round 2 will use the same structure and starting chips as Round 1. All Round 2 events score DOUBLE points towards Al's Smash 'n' Grab League.

All qualified players from Round 1 will have their buy-in to Round 2 added to the Round 2 prize pool with the prize money distributed in the normal way according to the multi table tournament Payout Schedule.

The Round 3 Finals

There will be a maximum of 600 players contesting each final on Saturday 1st May 2004 and Sunday 2nd May 2004 at 3pm CDT (9pm UK time) but this figure may be a lot less with duplicate qualifiers from Round 2 events. It will not be possible for anyone to buy-in to The Round 3 Finals, the only way to obtain entry into The Round 3 Finals , is with a Round 3 qualification obtained via the above mentioned Round 2's or be a member of the Wall of Fame. The Round 3 Finals will not count towards any leagues.

The winner of the each Round 3 Final will receive a paid entry into the $10,000 2004 World Series of Poker main event. There will also be $5,000 (*see terms) added to the prizepool for each Round 3 Final. The winner of the Saturday 1st May Round 3 Final will not be eligible to play in the Sunday 2nd May Round 3 Final and neither winner will be eligible to play in the Elite Final.

The winners of the 3 $10,000 seats will be required to work with BugsysClub for promotional purposes, conduct interviews, supply photograph for publishing on PokerPages and BugsysClub and also wear logo wear at the WSOP.

Elite Tournaments

All Round 3 Qualifiers get the chance to play in the Elite Tournaments every Saturday from 4th October 2003 to 24th April 2004 at 3pm CDT.

Elite Tournament buy ins

  • November $60+$6
  • December $70+$7
  • January $80+$8
  • February $90+$9
  • March $100+$9
  • April $100+$9

The winner of each Elite Tournament will gain entry to the Elite Final which will have a maximum of 50 entries. Elite Tournaments will use Tournament Structure #7, (20 min rounds), and will have 3,000 starting chips. All the buy-ins to an Elite Tournament will be paid out according to the Payout Schedule.

To enter an Elite Tournament you have to be a Round 3 qualifier AND transfer money to your Elite Tournament account to be able enter the event. This can be done in the cashier.

Elite Final

The Elite Final will give a $10,000 World Series of Poker Seat and a $2,000 prize package for first. 2nd place will get $2,000 and 3rd place $1,000 and will be played on the 8th May 2004 at 3pm CDT. Only qualified players will be allowed to play, and there will be a maximum of 50 players. Apart from the Elite Tournament winners the field will comprise of all players on the Wall of Fame, with BugsysClub also qualifying some players in Last chance Events between the 3rd and 7th of May. Last Chance events will only be available to Round 3 Qualifiers. Anyone who has won a WSOP seat in one of the Round 3 Finals is not eligible to play in the Elite Final.
The Elite Final will use Tournament Structure 7, (20 min rounds), and will have 10,000 starting chips.

Wall of Fame

Any player who is on the Wall of Fame is automatically qualified for Round 3 of the WSOP Warm Up, AND qualified to play in the Elite Final. To see the Wall of Fame and find out how to get on it click here.
